An eternal love story, that took 3 years in the making. From office to colleagues to best friends and lovers, here is a story of Marathi Bride whose mother planned her entire wedding. The couple met in Dubai and planned their destination wedding in Pune.

About the couple:

Divya says- \’We both work and live in Dubai .We both worked for the same company, but in different countries. Started dating 3 years after being friends, and the transition from friends to life partners was smoother than I imagined. Before I was leaving for a 3-month assignment to Germany, we decided to get married and told our parents.\’

Wedding functions

A multi- cultural destination wedding in Pune, with a blend of North and Central Indian traditions as, the bride is from Himachal and the groom is from Maharashtra.

Haldi Ceremony:

Mix of himachali and marathi traditions, the haldi ceremony was a fun filled affair with everyone in shades of yellow or green. The bride went for a golden dress paired with a bright magenta duppata.The groom paired his yellow kurta pajama and a Nehru jacket with pink flowers to complement my the bride\’s dress. The white edible kaleeras were sourced from Himachal.

Sangeet:

Divya went for a contemporary look for her sangeet ceremony. Pratik wore a custom made bottle green Jodhpuri to complement Divya\’s outfit.

A dreamy proposal in London!

Wedding:

For the wedding, Divya wore a yellow and red saree. Pratik wore a golden Sherwani. The ceremony took place in Maharashtrian style.

Reception:

The couple colour coordinated their outfits. Divya wore a silver lehenga with a midnight blue duppata. Pratik went for a Blue Bandhgala and silver pants.
